In August 2008, ATOMIC BLISS morphed from the remnants of Melbourne psychedelic rock freaks THE BORIS PINK. Bunkered up in a safe, cosy space, principal songwriter Stav Milonas refined his musical ideas and hooks into concise pop/rock song structures. Where The Boris Pink played complex, progressive rock styled music, Stav wanted this next project to be more incisive, more direct. The band began the process of shaping a bunch of killer tunes in preparation for their debut album release.
The initial rough demos attracted the interest of legendary New York producers David Kahne (The Strokes, The Bangles, Paul McCartney) and Tony Visconti (Bowie, T-Rex). Also offering their hand were Sylvia Massey (Tool, Johnny Cash) and Swedish producers Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lovstrom (The Refused, Dukes Of Windsor).
Opting for a lovely, chilly ten days in Umea, Sweden, Stav packed up the tapes and jetted overseas. Working in what had once been an asylum, Stav, Pelle and Eskil beat the recordings into shape bringing a raw and energetic growl to the music.

The band have been applying the final touches and look forward to what should be a remarkable debut release.
